Mason spent exactly 8 years, 7 months, 28 days as Makayla’s boyfriend before popping the question on Martha’s Vineyard—a place so special that out of all the breathtaking places they’ve both been all over the world—and so there was no question Martha’s Vineyard would be the location of their wedding.
They spent YEARS flying back and forth, keeping a long-distance relationship alive while they both worked on creating dream careers in television and IT because they knew that not only was it important that they be together, but it was important that they feed their souls as well.
St. Elizabeth’s is a beautiful and quaint church located in the heart of Edgartown. With sticking architecture, beautiful stained glass windows, and a welcoming pastor, it was Makayla & Mason’s obvious choice to get married.
A full mass was performed before they said their vows before friends and family.
And with the bells ringing out, they descended the stairs showered in rose petals thrown by guests.
Harbor View Hotel is at the very heart of Edgartown just steps away from Fuller and Lighthouse Beaches. Edgartown Lighthouse is the quintessential place for all weddings to have photos taken when being married here.
With dazzling views of the Atlantic Ocean, there’s no wonder why it’s such a popular location for weddings.
Makenzie, the event manager at the Harbor View Hotel, couldn’t be nicer and more willing to make the day a success.
Their reception featured a donut wall (by Martha’s Vineyard’s infamous Backdoor Donuts), a vintage cake topper (which was Makayla’s parent’s), and dinner to die for.
It was the perfect wedding, inside and out.
